Overnight oats

I’m pretty excited to share this recipe. No make that super excited. I know it looks like your average decent healthy recipe, but why am I so excited? Because my eighteen year old daughter made it. If you happen to know us well, two years ago we were in such a difference place in our lives – that if you told me I would be blogging about her making something healthy I would have laughed in your face.ResizedImage951360082738739

Yes, it’s good recipe. Good stuff. You are going to want to make it, even if it’s just to appease me.

Here it goes:

Ingredients:

 Overnight Oats

  • 112 grams fat free Chobani Greek yogurt
  • 10 grams (1/3 serving) Beyond Driven Rocky Road Isolate
  • 30 grams dry quick oats
  • 2 oz. blueberries
  • 2 oz. strawberries, diced
  • Splash of almond milk
  • Walden’s chocolate syrup
  • Cinnamon to taste.

Directions:

Mix the Greek yogurt and the Beyond Driven Isolate together until well mixed.  Scoop half of this mixture in the bottom of a jar, cup or bowl.  Add half of the dry oats on top of the yogurt/protein powder mixture.  Add half of the blueberries and strawberries. Add a splash of almond milk. Repeat.  Pour a tablespoon of Walden’s chocolate syrup and cinnamon on top.  Let sit overnight in the refrigerator and enjoy the next day.
